Common sense is a remarkable and often underestimated attribute that plays a crucial role in our daily lives. It is the ability to apply practical and logical thinking to navigate through various situations and make informed decisions. While it may seem like a simple concept, the power of common sense should not be underestimated.

Before reading the post, ask yourself: What are the three most influential common sense for you personally?
1. What is common sense
It can be roughly divided into two types. One is basic knowledge, which is the basic instruction that a sane adult living in society should have, including survival skills (self-care), basic labor skills, and basic knowledge of the natural sciences and the humanities and social sciences. All these are based on a reverence for nature.
The other is daily consensus, which refers to the common daily consensus among individuals in society. No matter whether any academic question or basic communication among people is based on common sense for further discussion.
On my personal note, common sense is the crystallization of the wisdom of our predecessors without limitations of time and space. History is often full of well-tested common sense, such as the core tenets of Taoism, the general tenets of philosophy, and Chinese classics like the Analects of Confucius. Of course, it is affected by the time people live in, the position of the group and the world outlook, view of life and values of the group.

4. Key recognition to common sense
Common sense should match your present and future as much as possible. Individuals should strive to align their actions and decisions with widely accepted common sense, the reality of the situation, and their own understanding and expectations of the future. This helps ensure that our actions are in line with practical circumstances and widely accepted norms, enhancing our adaptability and success in personal and social life.
The experience of predecessors can be used for reference, but not copied. Drawing from the experiences of others is valuable, but it should be approached with a critical and innovative mindset. By understanding the context, engaging in self-reflection and evaluation, fostering innovation and adaptability, integrating diverse perspectives, and engaging in practice and feedback, we can better combine the experiences of previous generations with our present and future, formulating decisions and actions that are more aligned with practical circumstances and personal needs.
